Julie Marson, MP for Hertford and Stortford, has today applauded the work of everyone involved in the local vaccine effort in her constituency.
The latest figures released this week show that 24.8% of the total population in Hertford and Stortford have had at least had their first Covid-19 jab.
28,638 people have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination in Julie’s constituency. The breakdown of people who have been vaccinated by age can be found below.
Age Group Number of People Vaccinated in Hertford and Stortford
Under 70s 14,229
Commenting on the news, Julie said:
“This data is very encouraging. To have 1 in 4 of our residents protected with at least one dose is staggering considering the short space of time this has been achieved in.
“This is thanks to the herculean efforts of everyone involved in the local administration: the medical staff, the volunteers and those who work on the logistics behind the scenes.
“While this is, of course, brilliant news, we cannot become complacent or get carried away. We have a roadmap but, for now, we must continue to stay at home.”
Julie recently visited two of the vaccination centres in her constituency: Avanti Meadows Primary School and Bishop’s Stortford Football Club.
She has said that she is hoping to visit other vaccine centres in her constituency soon, volunteering wherever possible to support the local effort.
