The Health Secretary, Victoria Atkins MP, has praised Julie Marson, MP for Hertford and Stortford, for her work in securing the new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford.
Mrs Atkins noted the “enormous amount of work” the local MP had put in to secure the centre for her constituents at the despatch box in the House of Commons.
The Health Secretary noted that CDCs across England have conducted an additional six million tests and scans for patients.
The praise follows a visit to the CDC made on Monday (4 March) by Andrew Stephenson MP, the Secondary Care Minister.
Speaking after the exchange, Julie said:
“The local NHS staff based at our new CDC in Bishop’s Stortford are doing a fantastic job.
“I had the pleasure of visiting the centre with the Minister yesterday and saw first-hand the positive impact that the extra tests and scans are having on our local area.
“I am sure the recognition of this great work by the Health Secretary shows the value we place on our NHS workers and I am very grateful for all their work.”
