Julie Marson, MP for Hertford and Stortford, visited Hazel End Care Home in Bishop’s Stortford recently to celebrate Care Home Open Week 2023.
Ms Marson first visited the home back in 2019 to mark its official opening and welcome staff and residents to the area.
Care Home Open Week aims to connect care homes across the country with their community and highlight the vital role they play within them. Care homes are important community hubs with outstanding facilities, filled with the incredible people that live and work within them.
The occasion also gives care homes the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer through their fantastic facilities, activities and services. It also allows people to learn more about the career opportunities that are available in the sector, encouraging them to support and build connections with their local home throughout the year.
Commenting, Ms Marson said:
“It was fantastic to visit Hazel End again, this time in celebration of Care Home Open Week. Care homes like Hazel End are a vital part of our community and I remain a firm supporter of their work. Thank you to the wonderful staff and residents for such a warm welcome.”
Hazel End Care Home also said:
“The Hazel End team and residents were delighted to welcome Julie Marson back to Hazel End after opening the care home in 2019. Thank you for taking the time to join our coffee morning.”
