Julie Marson, MP for Hertford and Stortford, welcomed a minister to a local charity last Friday.
Ms Marson invited Safeguarding Minister Sarah Dines MP to join her at Future Living in Hertford. The charity supports women, men and children to live full and complete lives after experiencing domestic abuse.
Ms Marson introduced the Minister to CEO Sandra Conte and her team before they sat in on a session of their innovative Monica Programme with Future Living clients.
Commenting on the visit, Ms Marson said:
“It was a pleasure to introduce the Minister to the fantastic Sandra and her team, meet some of Future Living’s inspirational clients and learn more about their latest work.
“As a former magistrate in Domestic Abuse courts, this is a cause close to my own heart and I continue to support Future Living however possible.”
CEO at Future Living Sandra Conte also said:
“It was a fantastic opportunity to have Sarah and Julie come to Vale House and see first hand how the work we do makes a difference to people’s lives.
“It was also valuable to learn of the Government's aims for tackling such issues and learning new ways that we can work together to ultimately end this type of abuse.”
